ASeC Series bridge chip devices
The iC-Embedded eM-23 device is part of the ASeC Series of bridge chip devices. These devices are iC-Haus companion chips for bridging communication interfaces & enabling application specific functions. https://asec.dev/
The eM-23 communicates with an iC-Haus iC-PZ reflective optical absolute encoder over the BiSS-C interface. The eM-23 converts BiSS-C binary position data to Gray code position data through a UART based ASCII protocol. This allows for reading iC-PZ BiSS-C absolute position data, presetting of the zero position, and UART data conversion through the ASCII command set.
- iC-PZ bridge companion chip
- BiSS-C master serial bridge device
- Binary to Gray conversion
- Preset position to zero via serial command
- Battery power management
- Debug serial port for iC-PZ diagnostics
