6-Chan. RS-422 Transceiver for BiSS bus structures

iC-HF is a robust line driver/receiver for industrial control applications using RS422 transmission including BiSS encoder PHY. Operation at 3 V to 5 V is supported including reverse polarity protection, current-limited, short-circuit-proof push-pull drivers allowing high speed at low EMI.

The IC’s unique feature are:

• RS422 transceiver for BiSS bus structure and BiSS bus loopback
• analog switches bypassing the driver stages (Encoder Link)

The Encoder Link function is triggered by a fail-safe scheme connects outside lines to a device’s internal components, for instance if calibration and programming.
